I am proud to have founded the Joining Hands, Joining Hope initiative in January 2025 to widen access to STEM-based opportunities for women and girls from underserved communities. Since its inception, I have led collaboration efforts with Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives across large organizations such as INOX, enabling a welding skilling program for women from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds. This has subsequently allowed me to certify professional skills to aid employment opportunities. Over time, I led the development of a documentary on the lives of JHJH’s community and actively worked towards encouraging interest in STEM for girls at a younger age by raising capital to provide 10 scholarships, as well as distributing an original activity book accompanied by an experiment kit to apply foundational scientific principles. By emphasizing the need and correlation between Sustainable Development Goals 4 and 5 (quality education and gender equality) through its interventions, Joining Hands Joining Hope aims to remove barriers to engineering education and careers for women and girls from vulnerable communities in India.
